    Can I use on acne, rosacea, or sensitive skin?

    This formula is designed with gentle, nourishing plant oils suitable for sensitive, red, acne-prone skin.

    While not intented to treat or prevent medical skin conditions, it contains lightweight, non-comedogenic plant oils that help balance oil and moisture levels and provide anti-infamatory phytonutrients.

    Since all skin is different, we recommend patch testing and consulting a dermatologist if you have specific skin concerns.

    Why use face oil?

    Face oils help support the skin’s natural lipid barrier. They deliver fatty acids, some of which the body can't produce itself. These are essential for holding and locking in hydration and building texture for firmness, elasticity, and smoothness.

    They contain bioavailable phytonutrients that naturally reduce redness and inflammation, balance both oily and dry skin, support a balanced complexion, and nourish the skin while improving softness, smoothness, and overall radiance.

    Do I still need a moisturizer?

    Moisturizers typically provide water-based hydration, while oils support the lipid matrix and skin barrier that holds the hydration and locks it in.

    Our Sofany Radiant Serum is water based, so when it is used in combination with our Luminant Face Oil it provides water soluable nutrients and hydration while the oils hold and seal it in.

    You can still layer other products under face oil, including moisturizer, but you may want to try just these two products as they are designed to deliver a full spectrum of skin benefits.

    How and when do I apply it?

    Apply evenly to clean skin, ideally while slightly damp, to help seal in hydration.

    It is best used after Sofanya Radiant Serum, which is water based and provides the hydration for the oils to lock in.

    While our serum and face oil are designed to provide all your skincare benefits, you can also layer with other products, ideally applying our face oil last.

    Use morning and/or evening as desired.

    Why apply oil to damp skin rather than dry skin?

    When skin is slightly damp after cleansing, there is surface water available for the oil layer to help retain, which can improve softness, comfort, and hydration compared with applying oil onto already dry skin. Damp skin can also improve spreadability, so less oil is needed and the finish often feels lighter rather than greasy.
